Announcing New Route for 2015

The 2015 Tour de Queens will start in Astoria Park, in the parking lot of 19th St and Hoyt Ave N.

The tour will be approximately 20 miles, and will visit the great Queens neighborhoods of Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Middle Village, Rego Park, Forest Hills, Corona, East Elmhurst and Steinway.

The rest stop this year will be at Juniper Valley Park.

How the Tour Works

The Tour de Queens moves en masse as a rolling parade escorted by the New York City Police Department. While there are no actual street closures, the NYPD and Transportation Alternatives’ volunteer safety marshals will block or “cork” traffic intersections to allow the Tour to roll through. There will be occasional stops on the tour while the NYPD and marshals secure intersections and gather riders. This wave moves at a family-friendly pace of about 10 mph.
