tour-de-brooklyn-2013

Registration for the 2013 Tour de Brooklyn will open to the general public on April 29th, 2013. T.A. members will be offered the chance to register early. If you’re not a member yet, join today!

Your registration fee helps to cover the cost of this one-of-a-kind tour:
$15 for Transportation Alternatives members
$20 for non-members

The entire tour will now be in the classic Tour de Brooklyn style. The tour will move en masse as a rolling parade escorted by the New York City Police Department. While there are no actual street closures, the NYPD and Transportation Alternatives’ volunteer safety marshals will block or “cork” traffic intersections to allow the Tour to roll through. There will be occasional stops while the NYPD and marshals secure intersections and gather riders. This wave moves at a family-friendly pace of about 10 mph. Registration is limited to 1,250 participants.

New in 2013 — Route Announcement!

The 2013 Tour de Brooklyn will return to Commodore Barry Park to start and finish the ride once again. The tour, as usual, will be approximately 20 miles, and will visit the neighborhoods of Ft. Greene, DUMBO, Red Hook, Carrol Gardens, Park Slope, Crown Heights, Stuyvesant Heights, Bushwick, East Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Williamsburg. Our rest stop will be held in one of Brooklyn’s best kept secrets, Lincoln Terrace Park.
