Tour de Bronx 2015: Sunday, October 25, 2015

Join nearly 6,000 cyclists as they hit the road on for theTour de Bronx, the largest free cycling event in New York State.

With a choice of either a 25 or 40-mile course through the borough’s 61 neighborhoods, there will be fun for families, casual riders and avid bicyclists.

Men and women of all ages as well as children participate in this annual event. Every year local, national and even international visitors make their way to the Bronx just to be a part of the “Big Bronx Ride!”

Choose Your Route

Presented by the Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and Transportation Alternatives and produced by the Bronx Tourism Council, the Tour de Bronx promotes bicycling and pedestrian environmentally-friendly methods of travel.

The tour starts at the Bronx County Building at Grand Concourse & 161st Street and ends with a music festival at the New York Botanical Garden.

The 25-Mile Ride:
A leisurely ride that’s great for every age and skill level. Enjoy Bronx Greenway bike paths, parklands, shoreline and more. Riders will be accompanied by marshals and NYPD escorts. This family-friendly ride is a great way to see the Bronx from behind your handlebars.

The 40-Mile Ride:
This quicker-paced ride ventures farther afield to visit iconic Bronx sites like City Island, Woodlawn Cemetery and SUNY Maritime College. This ride is recommended for experienced cyclists comfortable riding in traffic .THERE IS NO SAFETY CELL ON THIS RIDE. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
