40-mile bike ride from Williamsburg to Rockaway Beach, showcasing the potential of a fully completed Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway combined with a completed Jamaica Bay Greenway.
The Epic route will be marked, allowing riders to travel in a group that moves at their own pace. Rest stops with refreshments, restrooms and basic bike maintenance will be available along the route.
Upon completing the ride, participants are invited to an after party at Rockaway Beach with live music and delicious food from the newly re-opened Rockaway food vendors. Your return trip can be made via the A train, a Rockaway ferry to Wall Street Pier 11, or by bicycle along Flatbush Avenue.
Alternate starts are available at Owls Head Park (26-mile ride) and Floyd Bennett Field (14-mile ride).
