bike tour web

Join the Bronx River Alliance Greenway Team, Boogie Down Rides, Five Borough Bicycle Club, and the East Coast Greenway Alliance for a friendly 23 or 46-mile ride along the Bronx River Greenway, from the estuary of the Bronx River to its source at the Kensico Dam in Westchester County. Also a chance to experience the car-free parkway event in Westchester County.

Gather at 9:30am at the Soundview Park field house (on Lafayette Avenue near Colgate Avenue). Nearest subway stop #6 Elder Ave.

Ride will break for approximately 45 minutes at the Kensico Dam Plaza – bring your own lunch or purchase lunch on site. The shorter ride (23 miles) will be available by peeling off to the Valhalla Metro North train station.

Please bring your own bike in good working order. Recommended for adult riders with some experience riding on streets with shared car traffic. Roughly two-thirds is on bike paths, with some riding on city streets. Helmets and waivers are required. If you are planning on coming back to NYC by taking the Valhalla Metro North Train Station, please make sure to review ticket prices and the bike policy.
