BikeBlog has a tip on a bar showing the TDF during happy hour:

For viewing in NYC, the Lakeside Lounge is airing coverage on Versus, located at 126 Ave. B. between 10th and 11th st.

I believe it is coverage during happy hour, starting when they open around 4:00pm. So for all of you who get off work in time or aren’t working…this works out great for you. At least it shows they are a cycling friendly bar.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Any place that is willing to sport versus over espn? We could always pick a spot and show up with a huge rowdy group of NYC cyclists. If we buy their beer, they’ll play our sport.

The North and South county trails are awesome and easy riding. It’s mostly flat, and quite bucolic.

Does anyone know if there is public parking near any of the access points along this trail? I’m coming from Stamford, CT and don’t want to just go without knowing where to park! Thanks.

The DOT should use some better paint. The paint used in 2007 in Greenpoint is a joke. A month after they painted it, the street were filled with “decapitated” and “unicycle” symbols.

u cant just take over the whole city just to go biking. every time i go biking i dont close off every road.

About time we are seeing more bike lanes. Only wish there could be more enforcement for those who ignore the lanes and double park, and use it as a vehicle lane.

There needs to be more tickets written to those who double park.
